The third annual Cabot’s Avenue of Dreams brought in almost 1,700 visitors into Cabot on July 14 and 15 while show casing the areas best builders and decorators and donating 100% of the ticket sales and special event proceeds to Lonoke County Safe Haven and Open Arms Shelter. Rhonda House, Event Planner of Cabot's Avenue of Dreams along with Bill O'Brien, of Re-Max Real Estate Connection and Co-Chairman of the Charity Committee proudly awards  check to Brenda Reynolds, Executive Director of Lonoke County Safe Haven.

Brenda Reynolds, Executive Director of Lonoke County Safe Haven explained,  “A non-profit organization like Lonoke County Safe Haven, must have dedicated volunteers and faithful contributors who are the backbone to being able to keep the doors open for victims of domestic violence 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. However, we rely on this contribution from Cabot’s Avenue of Dreams, our largest fundraiser of the year, to continue our work.”

Susan Bransford, Executive Director of Open Arms Shelter further explained, "The opportunity to educate so many people from around the state about Open Arms Shelter and the role we play in providing emergency housing for children of abuse and neglect during this one weekend out of the year is proven to be invaluable.  With over 20 years of serving children from birth through 18 years of age, the demand for emergency housing has never been greater. In fact, many times we have not had the space to accommodate the demand, and are therefore, looking into expanding our current facility. Cabot's Avenue of Dreams has been a blessing to Open Arms Shelter since 2005 and we appreciate the efforts and success of this event to our organization.”
